Key features


The use of wood in thermoplastic extrusion is a relatively new technology with extensive market growth over the last decade or so. Wood Composite profiles are extruded using Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) resins. WPCs are compounded using upto 80% wood filler in the form of wood flour, wood fiber, sawdust or rise husk.

These wood fillers are combined with plastic resins like High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene (PE), PVC, and ABS and are processed by extrusion into variously shaped profiles (hollow and solid) that retain many of the favorable qualities and aesthetics of wood but offer enhanced properties provided by the thermoplastic.

Rajoo Bausano's exclusive POLYWOOD technology uses wood powder upto 80% to manufacture WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) profile and board. RBE offers a wide range of extrusion lines with output ranging from 200 kg/hr to 1200 kg/hr.

WPC Line consists of a twin screw extruder with MULTIDRIVE system, coat hanger type die / profile die, calibrators, calibrating table with mould temperature controller, embossing unit, multi roller take off unit, edge trimming unit, cutting and stacking unit.

The screw geometry offers a wide processing window. Effective 36 : 1 L/D ratio allows sufficient residence time for excellent homogenization of natural fiber flour with polymers and offers a large surface area for optimal heat transmission.

Extruders are equipped with multi vent system for removing moisture and volatiles which enhance the product quality. Gravimetric / volumetric dosing system also offer to control mixing ratio of polymers, sawdust, additives, profile-grinded scraps and pigment.
